Quantifying Guest Comfort and Building Security
Honeywell has empowered numerous schools with its LobbyWorks visitor Management System. School visitors, including students’ parents, are escorted to the office kiosk, where they are required to present their personal information. LobbyWorks updates the Pro-Watch database with every visitor’s personal information to make a record of each person’s visit. As a next step, a badge is issued to visitors, which must be scanned at each entryway keypad to gain entry into the building when the access is granted. Administrators can also log in to Pro-Watch from remote locations and monitor system health. Honeywell enables the school administrators to control the building access by offering an easy and quick way for the staff in the central office to verify the identity of any visitor who walks through the school doors.
Additionally, Honeywell is transitioning to a new go-to-market approach with friendlyway® for LobbyWorks® Kiosk. Honeywell is shifting from a resale approach to a joint go-to-market relationship with manufacturer friendlyway for selling the LobbyWorks floor standing kiosk. This new arrangement provides customers with direct access to more kiosk hardware options. Through this partnership, Honeywell installers work directly with friendlyway to tailor hardware solutions as per the needs of the customers while installing the LobbyWorks system.
Under the Hood of Relentless Innovation
Harris County, the third-most populous county in the U.S., will increase safety and efficiency in its 150 public buildings with Honeywell’s next-level integrated security system. The new Honeywell system replaces multiple disparate systems by integrating access control, security cameras, alarms, as well as monitoring. The county can monitor from a single central control station for improved situational awareness, streamline systems to create operational efficiencies and save resources for other critical infrastructure or services. Additionally, the county can create healthier building environments by leveraging people-counting technologies and analytics to maintain health and safety compliance. Through this collaboration, Honeywell provides the county with a fully customized solution, built to evolve with the needs and improve the overall building experience for employees and visitors alike.
Recently, Honeywell and IDEMIA, the global leader in Augmented Identity, have entered into a strategic alliance to develop intelligent building offering. Through the partnership, the duo aims to cultivate and create an intelligent building ecosystem that offers an enhanced and seamless experience for operators and occupants alike. Honeywell’s security and building management systems are integrated with IDEMIA’s biometric-based access control systems to create frictionless, safer, and more efficient buildings. The alliance is also intended to design solutions that enable occupants to easily and securely engage with the building in a contactless manner.
Honeywell understands that today’s challenges need tomorrow’s solutions and is at the helm of shaping the future of businesses. “Honeywell delivered a strong start to 2021 with first-quarter results that exceeded our expectations. We are seeing promising signs of a rapid recovery in some of our markets, and we are poised to capitalize on new business opportunities as they arise,” notes Adamczyk.
