Breezeway Bags $8M in Venture Financing Round

The company plans to use the capital to expand its platform for managing the comprehensive cleaning, care, preparation, and service of property, further develop its intelligent operations software, as well as to continue to build out a marketplace of services

FREMONT, CA: Breezeway, a Boston, MA-based property operations and services platform, closed $8m in Series A funding.

The round was led by Schooner Capital, with active participation from Krillion Ventures, Tamarisc Ventures, and Launch Capital. In addition to the funding, Simon Lehmann, who was previously the President of Interhome, President of Phocuswright, and a member of the Board of Directors of HomeAway, joined Breezeway’s Board of Directors.

The company plans to use the capital to expand its platform for managing the comprehensive cleaning, care, preparation, and service of property, further develop its intelligent operations software, as well as to continue to build out a marketplace of services.

Founded in 2017 by Jeremy Gall, who previously founded FlipKey (sold to TripAdvisor), Breezeway is a property care and operations platform for communicating, coordinating, and verifying detailed work is completed and the best service experience is delivered. The software and mobile apps have facilitated more than 2M property tasks across 80+ million square feet, and support hundreds of short-term rental operators, service providers, long-term residential managers, and other hospitality professionals meet detailed service standards.

“We built Breezeway because we saw the need for a much higher level of service in property management than was previously available. COVID-19 has now underscored this need, particularly in the context of detailed cleaning and safety operations,” stated Jeremy Gall. “Fulfilling that level of service requires a smart platform to help property operators verify the cleanliness, safety and quality of their properties, and deliver a predictable and safe experience for their clients.”
