Proptech Startup Bags $34M to Bolster Growth

A proptech startup has secured $34M to streamline tenants' workday with an innovative app designed for today's demanding users, providing 24/7, on-demand access to programming, amenities, and retail.

FREMONT, CA: A Boston-based tenant experience (TeX) platform for commercial real estate, HqO, has secured $34.25 million in Series B financing that was led by Insight Partners. This round of funding was also driven by previous investors like Accomplice and Navitas Capital, making the company's total venture raised to $53 million. HqO's first launched version of its software has grown to manage 70 million square feet of office space. HqO's software gives office landlords, a resistant-to-technology bunch, a plan to unite all of an office building's tenant-facing technology and conveniences into a single SaaS platform. The company intends to continue building out its platform and expanding the number of markets it serves with the current investments.

The platform features content and events and offers landlords with data intended at helping them improve tenant retention, modify the building to prospective tenants, and inform asset strategy. HqO claims that it is different from companies in the increasingly crowded space providing the software. With this investment, HqO will simplify tenants' workday with an award-winning mobile app designed for today's demanding users. The company offers 24/7, on-demand access to programming, amenities, and retail, powering every aspect of a tenant experience while building engagement and loyalty.

HqO has emerged as a pioneer in the TeX space as landlords prioritize place-making with the best experiences, amenities, and technology to help their tenants with talent retention and recruitment. HqO's platform highlights features and functionality that drive commerce on-site, share content from operators, build community among occupants and businesses, and grant control and access to tenants. Besides, to creating a premium tenant experience, the software arms landlords with real-time data about how tenants occupy the space and their overall satisfaction with their workplace experience.

HqO is a tenant experience platform, helping landlords create places people love. The Boston-based company puts new experiences, on-site retail and services, and a sense of community directly into the tenants' hands. HqO collaborates with property managers, landlords, and brokers who want to draw innovative tenants, offer a premium experience and enhance overall asset value.
