Real Estate Trends Demands for New Proptech Ideas.

In the past year, the growth in digital advancement has played a major role in the survival of the real estate industry.

FREMONT, CA: In the past year, the growth in digital advancement has played a major role in the survival of the real estate industry. This industry is anticipated to bloom in one way or another further on. The health crisis due to pandemic served as an instigator for digitalization as many enterprises were forced to operate and manage corporate systems with minimal physical interactions, says Spaceworx CEO Lakshita Wijerathne.

On this subject, Wijerathne classified key trends that will bring in new opportunities for property technology, starting with hybrid workplaces. This demand for hybrid offices which is a significant trend that emerged during the pandemic will likely continue to remain strong in the next year, along with the necessity to build flexible spaces. This hybrid workplace is starting to become the new standard, owing to its rising demand, that everyone has to embrace. He added that he has noticed that many school gymnasiums or classrooms can be converted into dance or yoga studios. These trends don't just rely on the structure of the building but also technology, which the property technology (proptech) industry could depend on through digital tools and software.

Another key trend that Wijerathne recognized is the dependence of consumers on services. He explained that everything is a service. Customers would not want to own a car but are happily willing to pay for the ride. This trend is getting widespread adoption as it is not limited to technology or software as you only pay for the service and not the asset. Moreover, Wijerathne says that the company has observed a growing demand for predictive maintenance and smart facility management solution. Spaceworx, wholly owned by Eutech Cybernetics, recently launched -the first in Singapore - a digital marketplace that provides pre-built workflows, integrations, and dashboards and offers curated solution bundles that include multiple proptech products and services.
