Super, an insurtech firm that offers home subscription care, acquired Platinum Home Warranty
Fremont, CA: The year 2022 will witness disruptive technologies that will hugely influence real estate due to the growing synergy between technology and enterprises. These technologies will affect all real estate’s players, such as developers, investors, occupiers, and workers.
Super, an insurtech firm that offers home subscription care, acquired Platinum Home Warranty. The combination combines Platinum's unique in-house technician's approach to providing Super's data-driven strategy to drive superior efficiency of third-party contractors to provide new options for clients to generate more value in the maintenance of their property.
Platinum, headquartered in Phoenix, a significant market in the house warranty sector, is a reputable home warranty company serving customers for more than a decade. Platinum has expanded effectively in a highly competitive home warranty market because of a distinct business model focusing on better control of service delivery with an in-house staff of specialists.
"Super and Platinum share many of the same attributes and values," said Jorey Ramer, Founder, and CEO, Super. "We've built cultures that care deeply about making the lives of homeowners easier and innovating in a category that has historically delivered poor service for homeowners. Together, we'll continue to work to improve the homeownership experience."
With the inclusion of Platinum's in-house team of technicians who service client claims, the purchase complements Super's performance-driven delivering services strategy with third-party contractors. Integrating a team of in-house experts to Super's verified network of outsourced service providers provides compelling benefits such as decreased financial risks, support for in-field R&D activities, and improved quality control.
Super will first establish the firm as an independent division underneath the Platinum Home Warranty moniker, and clients will continue to get service and support as usual. Alex Helt will continue to manage Platinum as the division's Managing Director.
The purchase of Platinum follows a string of major victories for Super in less than a year. Since announcing a 50 million dollars Series C round in the spring of 2021, the company is already on a growth trajectory that has included geographical expansion to Georgia and North Carolina, the launch of In the Clear, a first-of-its-kind offering in the real estate industry, and being named a top home warranty vendor by LeadingRE, the largest global network of market-leading independent residential brokerage firms.
